[Brief] Women’s JV basketball team loses to Deerfield Beach High School

On Wednesday, Dec. 13 the lady eagles junior varsity basketball team were defeated by Deerfield Beach High School with a score of 21-9.

Leading the team, Chelsea Watts (24) scored a total of three points. Sophia Arvelo (21), Kristina Lingley (34) and Sammy Fisher (4) each scored two points.

“We went into the game knowing that they were aggressive,” Fisher said. “We were able to hold our own though, and we are proud of ourselves for trying our best.”

The lady eagles play in their next away game against Coral Glades High School on Friday, Dec. 15 at 4 p.m.
