[Brief] Women’s JV basketball wins game against Monarch

On Wednesday, Jan. 17 the Lady Eagles JV basketball team defeated Monarch High School with a score of 39-7.

With a total of 16 points, Sammy Fisher (4) lead the team. Zaraeyah Simpson (14) scored five points, Mackenzie Alt (30) and Madison Goodman (32) scored four points and Chelsea Watts (24) and Sephora Bazile (55) scored three points. In addition, Lea Harris (20) and Nikki Bruner (3) scored two points.

“The team has really come to together as a family, and we have gotten stronger as a team,” Fisher said. “I am so proud of how far we have come.”

The next game will take place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Friday, Jan. 19 against St. Thomas High School.
