[Brief] Men’s varsity soccer defeats Spanish River High School

On Thursday, Dec. 5, the men’s varsity soccer team secured their third win of this week and ninth consecutive win of the season with a 2-1 win against Spanish River High School.

Both teams were neck-and-neck in the first half of the game, with neither team scoring a goal. The eagles picked up the pace in the second half, with Daniel Medeiros (10) scoring one goal, but their opponents responded quickly. With 10 minutes left, defender Gabriel Ocejo (22) secured the team’s win with the last goal of the game.

Medeiros was selected as player of the game with one goal and one assist. Mason Hall (2) also assisted in one goal, while goalkeeper Dillon Mcooty saved one goal attempted by Spanish River.

The team’s next game is away Monday, Dec. 11 at 4 p.m. against West Broward High School.
