If you don’t have symptoms of the coronavirus, should you wear a mask? It’s now required in most parts of the United States, including here in South Florida, that people wear a mask, bandana or another substitute to cover the mouth while in public places. Regardless of whether or not you have symptoms, you never know if you are an asymptomatic carrier; therefore, wearing a mask is in the best interest of all civilians. A mask can help capture cough particles that might spread to other people. In times like these, with a novel virus pandemic, no one is 100% sure what will or won’t help stop the spread, but something like a filtered homemade mask might just do the trick.
