[Brief] Student assaults teacher at MSD during 8th period on Nov. 1

On Nov. 1, during 8th period, a student physically attacked a teacher at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School. According to a parent link from Principal Michelle Kefford MSD’s school security staff and school resource deputies responded immediately.

During the altercation one other student was struck; however, there were overall no serious injuries. It has been noted according to Kefford that law enforcement is involved and taking the incident seriously; the student will face appropriate school disciplinary consequences.

Kefford sent out a phone call to all parents and guardians at MSD and an email to all MSD staff to inform those about the incident that took place.
