[Brief] MSD administration re-signs contract with LanSchool “Air”

Erika Ryan, Writer

Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School has re-signed their contract with LanSchool, now to be called LanSchool “Air”. LanSchool Air is a tool for teachers to monitor what their students are doing on computers and receive alerts for when students leave their assignments or tests.

There are important differences between LanSchool and LanSchool Air. The computers are no longer linked to the teacher’s, now through the teacher’s rostered classes. Personal Student laptops cannot be used now, LanSchool Air is not compatible with out of school laptops and teachers would not be able to monitor personal computers.

To make sure LanSchool Air is connected with the correct student, students must log in with their 06 number on a school computer. LanSchool Air will be an efficient tool for teachers to make sure their students continue to be focused and on track with their future assignments and tests.
