On Tuesday, Feb. 28 the AC throughout campus at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School broke. After raising concerns over the temperature for students, at 1:50 p.m. Principal Michelle Kefford announced that students would be dismissed from the school day early.
Kefford announced it would be a staggered dismissal starting with those parked in the senior lot. Walkers, those in the junior lot and car riders were then dismissed, followed lastly by bus riders.
Further, at 1:58 p.m. Kefford came back over the PA system announcing that all after-school clubs and activities are canceled.
While students are off campus for the rest of the day, maintenance will arrive and fix the AC.
