Black Student Union advisor Kelvin Lamar starts off the club's general meeting on Monday, Oct. 28. He spoke about how he visited Clark, Atlanta; The Legacy Museum, Tuskegee and the King Memorial as a part of a history field trip for seniors. "The club has been existing since 2014, I've been the advisor for the past two and a half years," Lamar said. "It's a pro-African descent type of club, we promote black pride and the contributions done by blacks all over the world. Today, we talk about historically black collages and universities, those are institutions that a lot of our students don't know exist, and about the history that they have."
