[Brief] Women’s lacrosse loses to Martin County

On March 9, the women’s lacrosse team faced off against Martin County High School in a home game at 7:00 p.m. The team lost to Martin Country in a high scoring game, which ended with a 10-19.

In the beginning, the team came out strong took an early few point lead,  but eventually by halftime Martin County was able to catch up to them. The second half didn’t see as good of a start, and the team began trailing by a couple of points and eventually ended being down by 9 points.

“We were able to start the very strong coming out, and that’s one of our goals for the season. Playing as strong as we came out for an entire game will definitely give us the advantage we need to win,” said midfielder Alyssa Fletcher.

The women’s next home game will be on March 16 at 5:00 p.m. playing against Spanish River High School.
