[Brief] Women’s JV basketball loses game against St. Thomas

On Friday, Jan. 19 the Lady Eagles JV basketball team lost to St. Thomas High School with a score of 47-7.

To start off the game, both Chelsea Watts (24) and Mackenzie Alt (30) scored two points. During the third quarter, Zareyah Simpson (14) scored four points, and Madison Goodman (32) scored two points. Ending the game, Goodman scored another two points, and M’Kalia Brown (33) scored two points.

“I think we played hard, but of course we could improve more,” Watts said.

The Lady Eagles’ last game of the season will take place at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School on Monday, Jan. 22 against Deerfield Beach High School.
