[Brief] Women’s varsity basketball team defeats Monarch High School

At their home game on Friday, Dec. 8, the women’s varsity basketball team defeated Monarch High School with a final score of 45-5 in their third home game of the season.

The lady eagles’ top scorers included Abbey Hsu (35), Taylor Thompson (2) and Nathalia Balderrama (13), each contributing to the team’s win. They also each got a fair amount of playing time.

“The significant thing about this game was that everyone on the team did well,” Balderrama said. “Almost all of us scored and helped each other be successful during the game.”

The team will have their next game on Wednesday, Dec. 13 at Deerfield Beach High School at 6:30 p.m.
