[Brief] Women’s varsity lacrosse falls to Pine Crest School in regional tournament

On Thursday April 25, the women’s varsity lacrosse team competed against Pine Crest School in regional tournament. The game took place at Pine Crest and started at 7 p.m. The weather was mostly clear.

“We were losing by 7 in the beginning but then worked together, and turned the game around. We didn’t give up at all during the game and held our heads high,” defender Gabby Fisher (4) said.

Pine Crest won with a score of 12-9.

“I felt like if we had more time we could have beat them,” midfielder Lauren Figas (12) said. “The score might not have showed but we worked really hard. We had a slow start to the game. We let them go up 7-0 on us. However we brought the score back to only lose by 3.”

This concludes the lacrosse season for the year. The team worked together through the season and won a total of 16 games.

“The team really bonded this year and we all worked well together. We are all a family and will always remain close on and off the field,” Fisher said.
