MSD women’s varsity soccer wins on senior night

by

On Tuesday, Jan. 21, at 5 p.m. the Marjory Stoneman Douglas women’s varsity soccer team played against West Broward High School and also celebrated senior night.

Graduating in the class of 2020 for MSD soccer are seniors, Mia Newberg (3), Krystina Masihy (9), Shannon McEachern (10), Arielle Haftez (13), Kayli Hendry (15) and Katelyn Gomez (25). The MSD Lady Eagles took home a win with a final score of 4-0.

“The underclassmen made it so special for all of us. Playing on this team for four years made senior night bittersweet, but mostly amazing,” defensive senior Shannon McEachern (10) said. “Winning 4-0 was obviously a bonus too.”

The Lady Eagles will continue on to district and regional play as their regular season comes to a close.
