On Wednesday, Nov. 13, the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Men’s varsity soccer team played in their first game of the season. The game was against J.P. Taravella High School at Cumber Stadium.
During the match, there was not much action on the field, as a few of MSD’s strikers were unable to play. MSD lost to Taravella with the final score being 1-0.
“It’s our first game, so we had to get all our jitters out,” said senior striker Mason Hall. “Taravella hasn’t won a game in about 11 years. We didn’t play really well, but I’m proud of this team’s first game.”
The MSD Eagles play again on Monday, Nov. 18 against Western High School at home at Cumber Stadium. The game will start at 7 p.m.
