After a climactic last minute of the game, in which goalie Rex Barbaro (4) prevented the Seahawks from scoring another goal and midfielder and defender Michael Cacace (5) nearly made a goal with seconds left on the clock, MSD ultimately lost the game 1-17. They play next on Tuesday, Feb. 18 against the St. Thomas Aquinas High School Raiders.

Minutes into the fourth quarter goalie Rex Barbaro (4) prevents the Seahawks from scoring a goal. Unfortunately, this save was followed by a Community School of Naples goal, which was the first goal of the quarter.
Third quarter ends with neither team having scored a goal
Neither MSD nor the Community School of Naples score a goal during the third quarter. The score remains 1-15, in favor of the Seahawks.
Eagles come increasingly close to scoring a goal
Midfielder and defender Michael Cacace (5) and midfielder Dhruv Mutha (23) work together in an attempt to score a goal, narrowly missing. The third quarter has seen no goals yet, but MSD has been in possession of the ball more often than in the previous two quarters.
Second quarter ends with MSD 14 points behind
As halftime begins, the Community School of Naples leads 15-1. MSD struggles to keep up, having went the whole quarter without scoring a goal.
MSD calls timeout with just over two minutes left of second quarter
As MSD comes closer to ending the second quarter without a goal, a timeout is called. Seconds prior, midfielder and defender Michael Cacace (5) scooped a ground ball and attempted to make his way towards the Seahawks’ goal.

Putting the score at 1-4, attacker Zaid Popen (43) makes MSD’s first goal of the game. The Eagles are trailing behind the Community School of Naples; goalie Ethan Hand (33) made several saves throughout the quarter, but MSD has for the most part failed to make it close to the Seahawks’ goal.

Within the first two minutes of the game, the Seahawks score. This was the first goal of the game and was followed by a face-off that MSD lost, giving Seahawks possession of the ball.
Eagles lose face-off, commencing game
Coming off of a loss in their first game of the season to Saint Andrew’s High School, the MSD Eagles begin their game against the Community School of Naples. The first quarter commenced with a face-off between midfielder Noah Ozan (45) and a Seahawk player, which MSD lost.
