Bolay is a health-based restaurant that aims to redefine “fast-casual” dining. Their menu consists of three different size bowls: kids, small or large. Each meal features a base, a protein and a vegetable as well as one add-on item and a sauce of your choice.

The restaurant has been in the midst of expansion and will open a new storefront in Coral Springs, specifically in the Royal Eagle Plaza off Wiles Road and University Drive, on Feb. 20. Therefore, the company decided to pay the school a visit to advertise their new location.

“[We are here] to get involved with our youth in the area, we have done stuff for the community, and we have hired employees around the community to help get involved with our business,” Manager Hera Aguilar said.

Bolay set up a table in the main courtyard where they handed each student a small portion of rice and chicken.

“I love Bolay and I’m really happy that they came,” junior Isabella Miller said. “It is really nice to have surprises like this at school.”

Students were very pleased to be surprised by an extra free meal during their lunch.

“I think [the food] is very good,” sophomore Ayla Bogart said. “I would definitely buy their food.”

Along with the sample, students were encouraged to get tickets from administration in order to spin the Bolay wheel of prizes.

“Spinning the wheel was really fun,” junior Hannah Kang said. “There were a lot of free items that you could have won. I got a free cookie.”

Bolay will open their new location at 11:00 a.m. on Feb. 20 and will be giving out $25,000 worth of gift certificates throughout the week. Each day, the first 100 guests will receive a $50 Bolay gift card, as long as they spend at least $8.29 at the establishment.
