On Tuesday, Feb. 25, the Stoneman Douglas varsity baseball team held a home game against Pembroke Pines Charter School.
The Eagles fought for the win, ending in a final score of 4-3.
“It was a great game. We took the lead in the sixth inning, lost the lead in the seventh, we showed great resilience and tied it up and it went to extra innings. We won it in the eighth inning in walk-off fashion,” senior Colin Flynn (23) said.
Seniors Coby Mayo and Vinnie Gallo each scored a run, as well as sophomore Chris Arroyo and junior Benji Destin.
The team will take on the Taravella Trojans at home, on Feb. 27, at 6:30 p.m.
