With their parents supporting them during a vital moment in their athletic careers, MSD baseball players, including Payton Jay, Luke Cherry, Erick Torres, Drew Freeman and Daniel Tartaglia, formally commit to their respective colleges in the media center on Nov. 13. Shortly before the seniors signed the documents, they expressed gratitude to their family members, friends and coaches for guiding them through their athletic careers. "I'm looking forward to achieving one of my childhood dreams while still playing the game I love," outfielder Bennett Gary (3) said. "I'm also very excited to be able to compete against some of the best players in the country."

National Honor Society Sponsor Lauren Saccomanno watches guest speaker Albert Price speak to NHS members. National Honor Society held their monthly meeting with Price on Monday, Nov. 4. "[Volunteering] varies on the years and the month, but we have started a couple new things; one of our officers Grace started a soccer program," Saccomanno said. "We have been able to continue older programs, too, like tutoring at Riverglades. NHS's goal is to have as many service projects as possible."

Swim team captain Sophia El Chantiry presents a silver medal and the Lebanese flag with her father and uncle. El Chantiry earned the medal at the third Arab Aquatics Championships on Aug. 25-28, held at Cairo, Egypt. In the competition, El Chantiry would place second in girl's 50-meter Butterfly Swimming, representing her home country Lebanon.
