On Aug. 27 and 28, students at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gathered in the gymnasium for picture day during their personalization period. An announcement was made each period announcing that students were able to head down to the gymnasium. There were four lines for students to queue up to get their yearbook and identification photos taken.
Photos were taken by photo company Fox-Mar, which replaced prior years’ Cady Studios. Students were required to present proper student information, such as their first and last name or school ID number, before taking their pictures.
Due to the construction taking place in the auditorium, picture day crew and other staff set up in the gymnasium, as well as students printing out IDs.
“The line was pretty short,” sophomore Victoria Figueroa said. “There wasn’t a long line and it was quick and easy.”
The set up in the gymnasium allowed time left in personalization periods for the students in between photos.
