A Spanish River batter drives a ball after making contact with a pitch by pitcher Kaitlin Enright (12), ultimately resulting in two runs. This pushed the score to 1-3, with MSD falling behind. The Eagles are now looking to end the inning before Spanish River can put themselves further ahead.
Spanish River and MSD play competitively as game enters overtime
Seeing as the score is still tied at 1-1, the game goes into overtime, with the Eagles taking the field first. This is now the eighth inning of the game.
Seventh inning brings no runs for MSD or Spanish River
After the Eagles took the field at the top of the seventh inning, first baseman Maya Korenge (47) got their first out by catching a pop fly. Then, short stop Camryn Ferro (9) made their second out, fielding a ball and throwing to first. Finally, pitcher Kaitlin Enright (12) made their last out, putting MSD up at bat without Spanish River having scored another run. Spanish River then kept the Eagles from touching home plate as well, leaving the game tied.
First baseman Maya Korenge (47) hits ball to left field
First baseman Maya Korenge (47) winds up at second base after making contact at bat and hitting to left field. This came after a similar hit by outfielder Caleigh D’Agati (35) to center field. However, D’Agati’s hit was caught.
Pitcher Kaitlin Enright (12) makes last out of sixth inning
Pitcher Kaitlin Enright (12) catches a pop fly, making the final out of the sixth inning. This follows an out by short stop Camryn Ferro (9), who fielded a ground ball and threw to first. Unfortunately, the Eagles did allow for one run to be scored by Spanish River prior to this and are thus entering the seventh inning tied.

With the sixth inning having just commenced, a Spanish River batter hits a ball off of pitcher Kaitlin Enright (12), who has been pitching the entire game. Enright has an earn run average of 0.78. The ball goes to the outfield, allowing for a run to be scored. This effectively tied the game, making the score 1-1.

Also in the fifth inning, catcher Myah Boleen (22) made an impressive double play, getting the out at home plate before firing it to first baseman Maya Korenge (47) to make the out at first as well. The Eagles are committed to maintaining their one-point lead.

Following a line drive by first baseman Maya Korenge (47) that put her on base, outfielder Lily Torres (18) hits a pop fly that gets caught by Spanish River’s first baseman. It is now the top of the fifth inning and the score remains 1-0; the Eagles are not letting up in the field.
