On Saturday, Dec. 16 at 10 a.m., the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School women’s junior varsity soccer team won against Cooper City High School with a final score of 2-0.
Raquel Alvarado (7) and Chloe Rogers (8) each scored one goal with assists from Molly Marks (18) and Kayli Hendry (15).
“Our mentality going into the game was to put out everything we had and be able to close out 2017 as winners,” midfielder Mia Newberg (3) said. “We were able to accomplish our goal and put two [goals] in the back of the net in the second half.”
The MSD Lady Eagles will play their next game on Jan. 13 at 12:30 p.m. against Pembroke Pines Charter High School.
