On Dec. 11, the men’s varsity basketball team went up against the Taravella High School Trojans.
The final score of the game was 46-39. The Eagles took the lead early into the game and maintained it until the end, giving them the win.
The game against the Trojans was a conference win for the Eagles, tying them with Coral Springs High School for second place in the district.
“Tonight was a good hard fought game by both sides and I am glad we came out on top with the win,” coach Orlando McCorvey said.
The Eagles played well offensively throughout the game accumulating a total of 49 points. Defensively the Eagles did a good job getting rebounds and making blocks.
Point guards Marshaun West (11) and Matt Fisher (32) stood out offensively.
“We are playing pretty well as a team right now and hope to continue our success in upcoming games,” point guard Rj Rowe (5) said.
