On Wednesday, Sept. 25 at 3:30 p.m., the Marjory Stoneman Douglas Womens varsity golf team competed in a match against Archbishop McCarthy High School at the Grand Palms Royal Course.
MSD won, scoring 156, while Archbishop McCarthy scored 171 for nine holes. Amelia Novoa shot two under par 35 in this match.
“This season, our golf team is doing extremely well. I think this is mainly because of the support we give each other,” sophomore Madison Lenard said. “We all lift each other up and help one another at practice which allows us to do well in matches. Also, Coach Schaller is a big part of the team. He is always there for us when we need him and he helps us with our swing and gameplay.”
The next match will be The Broward County Athletic Association Championship held on Wednesday, Oct. 2, at 8 a.m. at The Woodmont Country Club.
