Since its opening in November 2019, the Coral Springs location of Crumbl Cookies has been outrageously popular with extensive lines out the door. Crumbl offers a weekly rotating menu of unique gourmet cookies with exclusive flavors such as “Old Fashion Donut” and “Twix.”

On Sunday, Sept. 12, Crumbl announced their flavors for the week: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Sherbet, Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip, along with their classic “Milk Chocolate Chip” and “Classic Sugar.” Their classic flavors remain constant on the menu every week.

The Pumpkin Chocolate Chip cookie is a softer, almost cake-like, pumpkin spice cookie with dark chocolate chips. Served warm, this cookie has arrived just in time for the fall season. However, the pumpkin flavor is not as prominent as anticipated, instead the dessert closely resembles an ordinary chocolate chip cookie with a hint of cinnamon.

The Sherbet cookie has a tangy orange and lime flavor, resembling a sugar cookie with a fruity zing. The multi-colored orange and green frosting atop the cookie is an eye-catcher that provides a summer feel to the dessert. While great in flavor, this cookie has a dry consistency, with the base seemingly falling apart upon picking it up.

Blueberry Cheesecake is a fan favorite of this week’s cookies. The three-layer cookie contains a graham cracker base below a layer of cheesecake frosting and topped with blueberry filling. While the cookie could have been improved with a softer and more moist base, similar to a real cheesecake, the flavor of the cookie is phenomenal.

Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip remains a favorite among peanut butter lovers. The rich, brownie-like, chocolate cookie contains Reese’s peanut butter chips to establish the perfect balance of sweet and savory. This cookie provides a subtle peanut butter taste that does not overpower, but rather complements the chocolate.

The Classic Sugar cookie, one of the flavors constant every week, however, did not live up to its high expectations. Despite the cookie being dry, the texture and consistency of the cookie is decent. The cookie’s downfall mainly lies in its overly sweet, sugar frosting. That being said, it does a good job in capturing the nostalgic feeling that transports you back to your childhood, making sugar cookies with your mom.

Milk Chocolate Chip, a classic cookie that never disappoints, serves as Crumbl’s staple. Upon first bite, you can feel the warm brown sugar melt in your mouth. This soft, milk chocolate chip cookie was the very first cookie released by Crumbl and was as delicious this week as ever.

Overall, while this week’s Crumbl flavors were up to par, we believe that it was not one of their best weeks, as they have had better flavors. For this reason we would rate the menu a 5/10, with only three of them we would try again: Pumpkin Chocolate Chip, Blueberry Cheesecake and Chocolate Peanut Butter Chip. We cannot wait to see what flavors Crumbl will surprise us with next week!
