Drake, a four time Grammy winning rap artist, is extremely well known in the music industry and has released seven studio albums. On Nov. 4, his newest album, ‘Her Loss’ was a collaboration album with rapper 21 Savage. While many listeners tuned in, many noticed a few songs that had stuck out to them. Drake started questionable comments about popular celebrities in some songs in his albums that have enraged music fans.

The album was intentionally supposed to be released the week prior but it was delayed due to complications with publishing. After the release, fans noticed that Drake put controversial comments about celebrities such as Ice Spice, Megan Thee Stallion and Serena Williams’ husband in the album.

Drake commented on Megan Thee Stallion in his single ‘Circo Loco,’ saying, “This [girl] lie ‘bout gettin’ shots, but she still a stallion/She don’t even get the joke, but she still smilin.”

Many listeners believe he was allegedly dissing Megan Thee Stallion on lying about getting shot in the foot.

In 2020, Megan Thee Stallion allegedly got shot in the foot by rapper Tory Lanez in his car in Hollywood Hills, California. Megan Thee Stallion took him to trial that year where a restraining order was filed, however charges were upheld recently in 2021. Megan responded to this alleged diss by Drake on Twitter.

“And when the [real] facts come out remember all y’all [fake] favorite rappers that stood behind a [man] that shot a female,” Megan Thee Stallion said.

Drake continued to comment on the new upcoming rapper Ice Spice. Drake flew Ice Spice out to Los Angeles, CA in order to get her more recognition for her single that has been trending on many platforms called “Munch.”

“She a ten tryna rap, it’s good on mute, yeah,” Drake says in one of his verses on ‘BackOutsideBoyz.’

There is no obvious connection to Ice Spice, however everyone assumed it was Ice Spice since she is deemed an attractive woman and has recently met Drake. Ice Spice later responded on Twitter joking about the comment Drake made on his new album.

“At least I’m a 10,” rapper Ice Spice said with a laughing emoji beside the comment.

Another comment was made about Serena Williams’ husband in another single on the album, ‘Middle Of The Ocean.’ “Sidebar, Serena, your husband a groupie,” Drake said.

For a couple years, speculation rose when Drake was attending the tennis player’s games very actively, and many fans accused them dating back in 2011. There were allegations of the two kissing around that time, but nothing was ever confirmed from either of them.

Serena Williams’ husband, Alexis Ohanian later tweeted with a photo of him and his daughter supporting Serena Williams from the stands, indirectly responding to Drake.

“The reason I stay winning is because I’m relentless about being the absolute best at whatever I do—including being the best groupie for my wife & daughter,” Alexis Ohanian said in a Tweet.

21 Savage also took accountability for Drake’s comments in a recent interview conducted by DJ Akademiks. He claims he encouraged Drake to be honest throughout his album and not hold back.

“Whatever he standing on…I’m standing on, too,” 21 Savage said.

Despite Drake’s controversial comments, Drake and 21 Savage debuted at number one on BillBoard charts with over 150 million streams. They also plan on premiering a performance with Tiny Desk Concert which is a mini concert that will be posted on Youtube in a few weeks, with no confirmed date.
