On Thursday, Oct. 12, the men’s bowling team’s undefeated record falls to Coral Springs High School as the season nears its end at Sawgrass Lanes.
The men played a strong match, earning their highest team score of the season at 989 pins in the second game. They also played a competitive first game at 879 pins, but it was not enough to beat their rivals at Coral Springs High School. The opposing team managed marginally to defeat our team by 30 pins in the second game and 6 pins in the baker. The men’s bowling team played well led by senior Ryan Schachter’s 228 pins and senior Cameron Price’s 225 pins, but it was still not enough to best the talents of Coral Springs High School. Although the men’s bowling team faced their first loss of the season, their spirits still remain high.
“We fought hard and bowled really well, but couldn’t get the win” captain Ryan Schachter said. “Every year, Coral Springs proves to be one of our strongest local rivals. Hopefully, we’ll see them at districts and we will step up our game to beat them there.”
The next match will take place at Sawgrass Lanes on Tuesday, Oct. 17 at 3:30 p.m. against Piper High School.
