On Tuesday, Dec. 6, the lady eagles junior varsity basketball team played in their second game of the season. The team took on Coral Springs High School in a game ending with a score of 45-25 in favor of Coral Springs.
Leading the team, Kristina Longley (34) scored eight points. Right behind her, Chelsea Watts (24) scored a total of seven points and Madison Goodman (32) scored six points. Both Sammy Fisher (4) and Joelle Landau (45) scored a total of two points.
“Even though we lost, I was happy with our overall performance,” Fisher said. “I feel that the team is coming together and bonding, which is good because most of us are new.”
The Eagles have their next game Friday, Dec. 8 in the Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School gym against Monarch High School.
