On Aug. 30, the Lady Eagles volleyball team took on the Monarch Knights. After a series of kills and aces the girls were able to end the game with a victory.
“I got a good kill towards the end of the game,” outside hitter (12) Keely Owen.
The first set was 23-25. The Eagles’ victory however still sent the team to play another set of course.
“We had good contact with the ball and we were all so eager.” said libero (6) Julie Piedra.
The second set was another win for the Eagles 18-25. Right side hitter (15) Jessica Lopresti had the most hits of the game.
“She was non stop. She’s the reason we accumulated so many points,” Owen said.
Monarch snuck up on the Eagles during the third set. However, the Eagles did not lose focus and ultimately won the game.
