On Sept. 15, the men’s varsity football team lost to Piper High School.
The final score of the game was 6-36, with the Eagles’ only touchdown coming from running back Alex Rodriguez (20). The team struggled on both sides of the ball, acknowledging that they didn’t play to their fullest.
“We didn’t play our best tonight and that is the reason we got beat pretty badly,” head coach Willis May said.
Fortunately, lineman Charlie Rothkopf (55) stood out on defense with multiple tackles once again, previously earning the defensive impact award against South Broward High School.
The Eagles hope to bounce back from a tough loss and come out strong against their next opponent, Cardinal Gibbons High School, on Sept. 21.
