On Sept. 21, the men’s varsity football team lost to Cardinal Gibbons High School.
The final score of the game was 48-8, with the Eagles’ only touchdown coming from wide receiver Preston Sasser (12). The team suffered another tough loss in front of the home crowd.
“I played my heart out all night but our team struggled to gain yards and make defensive stops,” Sasser said.
Fortunately, lineman Charlie Rothkopf (55) stood out on defense with multiple tackles in the game continuing to stand out on defense.
The Eagles hope to bounce back from another tough loss and come out strong against their next opponent, Northeast High School.
