On April 4, the men’s varsity tennis team opposed Pompano Beach High School for the last match of the week.
Senior Michael Akselrud, the number one player on the team triumphed in a tight match, ending with an 8-6 score. Number two in the roster, sophomore Tobiah Bower ended with a winning score of 8-2, in addition to number three, sophomore Carlos Arvelo’s 8-0 match. Overall, the Eagles pulled out another win for their regular season.
“I thought it was a great team performance coming out with the win,” Bower said. “I’m proud of how we’ve not only improved as individuals but also gotten better as a team over the course of the season.”
The last home match before districts is on Monday, April 8 against J. P. Taravella High School.
