On Wednesday, Feb. 6, at 6 p.m. the Marjory Stoneman Douglas women’s varsity soccer team played against Coral Glades High School in the highly anticipated districts match. .
The MSD Lady Eagles took home the championship win with a final score of 4-0.
“We came out on the field with tons of intensity and pressure to reclaim the district championship for the second year in a row,” senior Katelyn Gomez (25) said. “The end resulted in a huge victory for us and we are excited to play in regionals.”
The Lady Eagles will continue on to regional play next week and hope to continue winning and earn a bid to state play.
