On Thursday, Mar. 5, the Stoneman Douglas varsity baseball team went up against Monsignor Pace High School for their second away game of the season.
The game ended in a final score of 7-1 for the Eagles.
“Our starting pitcher [Sophomore, Derek Rodriguez] threw lights out for five innings and kept us with the momentum all game.” senior Colin Flynn said. “We were up 1-0 until the fifth inning where we blew it open with a few hits and a homerun from Coby Mayo which sealed it.”
The next game will be an away game against St. Thomas Aquinas on Saturday, Mar. 7, at 1 p.m.
