Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School will be holding its annual orientation program, “Fly Like An Eagle”, to aid incoming freshmen learn about the school for their upcoming school year on Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Aug. 1. The program aims to provide incoming freshmen with the information they need to start off high school.
The orientation will cover essential information regarding high school life at MSD. This includes information about the clubs and sports offered at MSD, community service, credits and graduation requirements, the block schedule, and how to get around the school. The orientation will also introduce students to teachers and faculty along with teaching them about the traditions and rules of MSD.
There are two dates that the orientation will be hosted: Wednesday, July 31 and Thursday, Aug. 1. Within these two days, different time sessions will be hosted. One will occur from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m., and the other one is from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. When signing up, students and parents are required to pick one out of the four sessions available.
Registration will open on Monday, July 1 on the MSD e-Store. The registration fee is $12 and includes an academic student planner to help students organize their classes and assignments throughout the year.
