[Brief] MSD women’s junior varsity soccer wins against Pembroke Pines Charter High School

The women’s junior varsity soccer team played Pembroke Pines Charter High School on Saturday, Dec. 16 at 12:40 p.m. The MSD lady eagles defeated the Jaguars with a final score of 8-0.

Emily Burke (16) brought in two goals for the team with assists from Kayli Hendry (15). Hendry, Katelyn Gomez (24), Francesca Lozano (9) and Molly Marks (18) also brought in one goal each with assists from Raquel Alvarado (7) and Mia Newberg (3). Newberg and Alvarado also scored one goal each with assists from Gomez.

“We played really well during the whole game. Our passes always had a purpose and the score showed that. We played as a team and were really aggressive. This was a great end to the year,” team captain Gomez said.

The lady eagles have their next game on Saturday, Jan. 13 at 11:20 a.m. against West Broward High School at Pembroke Pines Charter High School.
