Three Heart Strings is a business that makes personalized products. Their parent company, Namedrops, offers items such as blankets, stickers and bracelets. The money made from both companies’ sales is donated to multiple diverse charities such as the Crohn’s and Colitis foundation, Pediatric cancer foundation, Not My Daughter… find a cure now, Humane Society and Best Buddies Sports.

In the past, the three founders, junior Stacy Gringauz, eighth grader Sofia Rothenberg and junior Hannah Guttentag, who all attend Parkland schools, worked together to choose 12 different charities to donate to each year. Three Heart Strings along with Namedrops donated the profits to a different organization each month.

They decided to make bracelets for Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School students due to the recent shooting and are donating the profits to a GoFundMe account set up to raise money for the victims’ families. The main reason for making these MSD bracelets is to help families that are going through a rough time while grieving losses in the community, and to spread awareness of gun violence.

Three Heart Strings’ bracelets are rapidly growing in popularity among the Parkland community and all over the state. Their products are not just for students; everyone is encouraged to purchase one to help contribute to those impacted by the events of Feb. 14 and spread awareness.

“I love wearing the Three Heart Strings MSD bracelet because every time I see it, it’s a reminder of the amazing community I’m so lucky to be a part of,” sophomore Jared Block said.

Three Heart Strings founders started the organization as a way to make a positive impact on their community. They thought it was a fun way to raise money for a great cause since their families were already involved in producing personalized products.

“We started our company to make a difference in the world. All we want is to help others and make the world a better place,” Guttentag said.

The organization continues to raise money and awareness for a variety of causes. They are currently focusing on the Parkland tragedy, but will support many other causes in the future.
