[Brief] MSD participates in annual ‘Start With Hello’ Week

Coinciding with homecoming spirit week, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School is participating in Sandy Hook Promise’s “Start With Hello” program from Monday, Sept. 18 to Friday, Sept. 22. The program is a nationwide initiative to promote kindness and acceptance in schools.

The main goal is for students to communicate and form friendships with their socially isolated peers. They encourage students to “start with ‘Hello'” and reach out to classmates they notice do not have very many friends.

MSD students who wish to participate in the annual “Start With Hello” week can wear green throughout the week of Sept. 18 to Sept. 22 and make an effort to “start with ‘Hello.'”
