Senior Guillermo Barrios is seen jumping into the pool during the swim meet.

On Wednesday, Sept 18, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School’s men’s varsity swim and dive team went head to head against St.Thomas Aquinas High School. The meet started at 7:00 p.m. at the Plantation Aquatic Complex.

MSD lost to STA with a score of 78-98, which was their first loss of the season.

“The performance of our team yesterday was phenomenal, with much improvement from our recent competitions. Our swimmers are beginning to get the feel of racing as they are becoming more competitive and unified as a team. Overall, we pushed our limits, but we got more to work on,” team captain Cody Chin said.

Their next meet will take place on Wednesday, Sept. 25 against Coral Glades High School at the Coral Springs Aquatic Complex.
