[Brief] Men’s varsity basketball team beats Taravella High School

On Dec. 11, the men’s varsity basketball team went up against the Taravella High School Trojans.

The final score of the game was 46-39. The Eagles took the lead early into the game and maintained it until the end, giving them the win.

The game against the Trojans was a conference win for the Eagles, tying them with Coral Springs High School for second place in the district.

“Tonight was a good hard fought game by both sides and I am glad we came out on top with the win,” coach Orlando McCorvey said.

The Eagles played well offensively throughout the game accumulating a total of 49 points. Defensively the Eagles did a good job getting rebounds and making blocks.

Point guards Marshaun West (11) and Matt Fisher (32) stood out offensively.

“We are playing pretty well as a team right now and hope to continue our success in upcoming games,” point guard Rj Rowe (5) said.
