On Jan. 28, Dunkin’ released its annual Valentine’s Day Menu. Drinks on the menu include the Heart Eyes Daydream Refresher, Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daydream Refresher, Blush Spritz Refresher, Toxic Ex-Presso Cloud Latte, Sweet On You Cloud Latte, Perfect Matcha and Buff Chai.
There are also many Valentine’s Day-inspired food items on the menu, including the Brownie Batter Classic Donut, Cupid’s Choice Classic Donut, Valentine’s Day Munchkins and Valentine’s Day Munchkins Tin, which comes with 25 munchkins.
The Heart Eyes Daydream Refresher is a strawberry dragonfruit drink with blueberry flavoring and oatmilk, topped with sweet cold foam. It tastes strongly of artificial flavors balanced with chocolate cold foam.
The Chocolate Covered Strawberry Daydream Refresher is a strawberry dragonfruit drink with oatmilk, topped with a decadent chocolate cold foam. It tastes like a fresh dessert cup, accurately mimicking the taste of chocolate-covered strawberries.
The Blush Spritz Refresher is a strawberry dragonfruit refresher topped with sparkling water for a crisp, bubbly twist. However, the sparking water diminishes the taste of the strawberry dragonfruit flavoring. This drink is thus perfect for those without a big sweet tooth.
The Toxic Ex-Presso Cloud Latte is an espresso with mocha swirl and raspberry flavoring, topped with chocolate cold foam. It is a fancy chocolate-covered raspberry treat with a dramatic coffee taste.
The Sweet On You Cloud Latte is an espresso blended with whole milk, caramel swirl and coconut flavoring, topped with sweet cold foam. It has a rich, tropical flavor that melts in the mouth and radiates a summer vibe.
The Perfect Matcha is a matcha green tea mixed with whole milk and topped with sweet cold foam. It is creamy, milky and sweet, and the cold foam greatly helps in enhancing the matcha’s flavor and texture.
The Buff Chai is a chai syrup combined with protein milk, available hot or iced, that contains 15 grams of protein in a medium beverage. The chai has a soft and delicate with a creamy vanilla undertone.
The Brownie Butter Classic Donut is a heart-shaped donut with chocolate frosting and festive heart-shaped sprinkles. It is also filled with a brownie batter filling that tastes deceptively like an actual brownie. This donut is really the star of the Valentine’s Day Menu and is going viral on TikTok for a reason: it contains an insane amount of brownie batter filling.
“The new Valentine’s Heart Donut is so good and sweet,” freshman Haya Masri said. “I also love the brownie batter filling but it’s very heavy in flavor.”
The Cupid’s Choice Donut is similarly heart-shaped, but filled with bavarian kreme and topped with strawberry icing and heart-shaped sprinkles. This donut has a rich flavoring, which primarily comes from the sweet strawberry icing and creamy bavarian kreme.
This year’s Valentine’s Menu at Dunkin’ exceeded expectations, giving people more than a few excellent food and drink items to choose from. The expansive menu shows that Dunkin’ is making an effort to offer more diverse options and thus appeal to a greater array of people.
