[Brief] Men’s Varsity Hockey ties against North Broward

On Friday, Dec. 1 at 7:00 p.m., the men’s varsity hockey team took on North Broward Preparatory School for a home game located at the Florida Panthers’ IceDen. The MSD Eagles tied to the North Broward Prep Eagles with a final score of 2-2

Trailing 1-0, Joey Zenobi (5) scored the first goal for the Eagles tying it 1-1. Forward Adam Hauptman (51) scored the second goal for the team, allowing them to lead with a score of 2-1. But in the final seconds of the game, North Broward scored a goal ending the game with a score of 2-2.

“We played a tough game and we played well but we got sloppy at the end and let them come back to tie it up. It hurts that we let them come back because of the reason that we haven’t beaten them in six years,” Riley Kokavec (91) said. “This one stings but we have to keep our heads up and take it game by game.”

The Eagles have their next game at home against a team of players from West Boca High School and Spanish River High School on Dec. 4 at 7:30 p.m.
