[Brief] Varsity softball team beats J. P. Taravella High School

On Feb. 20, the varsity softball team beat J. P. Taravella High School 18-0 at their second away game of the season..

“Everybody was consistently hitting, and if we stay like that for the rest of the year we’re gonna have a good season,” shortstop Jordan Ratner (52) said.

Third-baseman Abby Dowd (3) hit two doubles, outfielder Monique Poitevin (26) raked two triples, and collectively the Eagles had seven stolen bases. The Eagles were able to score 10 runs in the fourth inning, making the final score 18-0 in only 5 innings.

The team’s next game is their first home game on Wednesday, Feb. 27 at 4 p.m. versus Deerfield Beach High School.
