On Tuesday Feb. 25, the women’s varsity lacrosse team played against Calvary Christian Academy at 7 p.m. The team won the game with a score of 17-13.
“The game was really fast paced and intense,” defender Gabby Fisher (4) said. “The ball was on both ends of the field a lot and the team was a little slow at first but we managed to come together and pull out a win. We are learning how to work together more everyday.”
The weather leading up to the game looked like it was going to rain and storm, but during the game it turned out to be just cloudy.
“I felt very excited and strong,” midfielder Lauren Figas (12) said. “I believed the whole game that we had this. We worked together the entire game and never gave up. During the game we kept our confidence going. The game ended very strong with us winning by four.”
The next game is on Thursday Feb. 28, against North Broward Preparatory School.
