[Brief] MSD’s women’s varsity basketball team defeats Coral Springs High School

At the away game against Coral Springs High School on Tuesday, Dec. 5, Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School took the win with a score of 55-26. The lady eagles varsity basketball team has been undefeated 5-0.

Nathalia Balderrama (13) was the lead scorer for the team with 14 points. Abbey Hsu (35), Kelsey Ngo (4), and Taylor Thompson (2) contributed 11 points each and Asa Dykes (23) eight points to the team’s victory.

“We seem to be doing really good this season,” Hsu said. “Since the beginning, the team has been working hard to push out wins.”

The girls will have their next game at Coconut Creek High School on Thursday, Dec. 7 at 6 p.m.
