[Brief] Women’s JV basketball wins game against Coral Springs

On Friday, Jan. 12 the Lady Eagles JV basketball team defeated Coral Springs High School with a score of 22-19.

Nikki Bruner (3) was the lead scorer with a total of 12 points. Kristina Longley (34) scored six points, and Chelsea Watts (24) scored four.

“When we lost to Coral Springs last time we played them, we all wanted it more than anything to beat them,” Sammy Fisher (4) said. “We came into the game confident with our heads high, and we worked well as a team and held them to the point where they couldn’t score.”

The Lady Eagles’ next game will be an away game versus Monarch High School on Jan. 17.
