[Brief] Men’s cross country team places second in first meet

On Sept. 5, the men’s cross country team participated in the BCAA week 1 meet. The meet was hosted by Cypress Bay High School at Markham Park.

The team placed second out of nine schools with a score of 31.

Captains Josh Charo and Austin Freese led the team with times of 18:36.60 and 18:43.70 respectively. Charo remained motivated during the meet.

“Our times were pretty incredible compared to what we have done before,” Charo said.

The team will have their next meet on Sept. 11 at 4 p.m., once again at Markham Park and hosted by West Broward High School.
