[Brief] Women’s varsity swim and dive team wins second place in first meet

On Sept. 5, the women’s varsity swim and dive team had a meet at the Deerfield Aquatic Center, located in Deerfield Beach where they played against Monarch High School and Coral Springs Charter School. The meet started at 4:30 p.m. and lasted for about two hours.

The team beat Monarch High School, but ended up in second place.

“Although we may not have won, we are all focusing on building our skills and improve our times,” sophomore Anabelle Mata said.

The team have their next meet coming up soon on Sept. 12, at 4:30 p.m. The meet will take place at Pembroke Pines Charter High School where they will go up against Pembroke Pines Charter and Stranahan High School.
