[Brief] Varsity football team defeats Monarch High School

On Oct 26th, the men’s varsity football team beat the Monarch High School Knights.

The final score of the game was 21-0. This was a critical district game for the Eagles and they came out strong and held the Knights to a score of 0.

Even though it was an away game for the Eagles they still had the strong support of their fan base to back them up to defeat Monarch.

“It was great being able to win our last district game and especially an away game it was huge for us and our confidence,” quarterback Ryan Kavanaugh (16) said.

The strongman for the Eagles defense was cornerback Tyler Abbondanza (28) with multiple stops and tackles.

Wide receivers Christian Alcocer (7) and Aramis Warford (3) were the big stand outs for the Eagles offensive game and helped them score their 21 points to shut out the Knights.

The Eagles hope to continue their winning and come out strong for their final game against Plantation High School on Nov. 2.
