[Brief] Men’s varsity water polo team wipes out J. P. Taravella High School

On Wednesday, March 6, at 7:30 p.m., the men’s varsity water polo team defeated J.P. Taravella High School for a home game at Fort Lauderdale High School. The game ended with a score of 16-7.

Sophomore Allan Shihman (10) scored six goals, co-captain Vinny Valdez (2) and senior Camden Lander (21) both made three goals each. Senior Jared Fabrikant (13) scored two goals and co-captain William Berk (18) and senior Trevor Berkson (8) scored one goal each. Goalie Chris Stepp (16) blocked a numerous amount of goals, which all lead to their second win of the season.

“We played our first district game of the season and we played really good together,” Berk said.

The Eagles’ next game will be on Tuesday, March 12 against Nova High School at Nova High School.
