[Brief] Men’s varsity water polo team defeats Nova High School

On Tuesday, March 12 at 6 p.m., the men’s varsity water polo team defeated Nova High School in overtime for an away game at Nova High School. The game ended with a score of 15-14.

Senior Trevor Berkson (8) and sophomore Allan Shihman (10) both made six goals each, and senior William Berk (18) scored three goals. Shihman made the winning goal. Goalie Chris Stepp (1) made a numerous amount of blocks, which all lead to their third consecutive win.

“It was a tough game being down four goals in the middle of the fourth quarter but we didn’t lose,“ Shihman said. “We played as a team and forced overtime with 15 seconds left, and we went into overtime with a winning mentality and it really paid off.”

The Eagles hope to continue their winning season.
